Sweet Mama Janisse Prepares
for Major Business Expansion
EUREKA, CA Chris Wilkins and Marie Janisse-Wilkins, the couple who own the Bless My Soul Café in downtown
We are all very excited about our expansion plans and the prospect of launching a delicious new green sauce unlike any other yet on the market effused Chris Wilkins.
His company is known for its unique marketing panache and engaging product names. He currently markets the following five products under the Sweet Mama Janisse label:
Sticky Love Sauce ñ an exotic fruit mustard so overwhelmingly flavorful consumers are forewarned by the product name that it may excite more than their taste buds.
Chili Pepper Paste ñ a Cajun-Creole creation overflowing with herbs, spices and chilis so delectable it is almost addictive.
Soy-Gin Sauce ñ a soy sauce with mouth-watering additions of ginger and spices to enthrall the most discriminating palate.
Mint-to-Love Sauce a sweet mint elixir that enlivens virtually any dessert, especially holiday offerings of ice cream, eggnog, cobbler and fruit salad.
Soul-Q-Sauce ñ the ultimate Cajun-Creole barbeque sauce specially formulated to bring
expressions of bliss to hungry faces with flavor-induced ecstasy.
We haven’t yet formally decided on a name worthy of our new green sauce, explained Wilkins, but you can be sure will find a good one because I really believe our new green sauce Louisiana Green will fast
become the most popular sauce of its kind on the market. It’s that good! The brand name of the
green sauce will be announced with the launch of the marketing campaign for the new product.
The Grammy award-winning jazz artist Taj Mahal has already been enlisted to assist Bless My Soul Foods with the company’s new national marketing campaign. Marie Janisse-Wilkins, a.k.a. Sweet Mama Janisse, and Taj Mahal have been lifelong friends. In fact, Taj Mahal has even released a popular jazz tune entitled, sweet Mama Janisse as a tribute to their enduring friendship.

Focus on Marketing: Higher Volume is Key
After spending years perfecting their savory product line, the management of Bless My Soul Foods is now devoting their energies and attention to an aggressive new marketing campaign with national reach.
Larger sales volume makes economies of scale possible and with economies of scale come lower average production costs and higher profitability. Bless My Soul Foods needs to increase sales in order to reduce the average production cost per case. The road to such accelerating sales volumes begins with an effective marketing campaign.
The company plans to integrate an aggressive Internet marketing strategy with more traditional promotional efforts throughout the region. Internet advertising will complement the tried-and-true weekly supermarket demos in a coordinated effort to win new customers.
The enhanced website now in the works will greatly improve the ease of online ordering, while adding state-of-the-art interactive features that will increase consumer interest.
Have you tried our
Soy-Gin Sauce yet?
Tasting is believing.
Mmmmm.
A continuing stream of fresh video content on the website, featuring the charming Marie Janisse-Wilkins preparing some of her favorite dishes using Sweet Mama Janisse products, is also expected to bring web surfers looking for great cooking tips back for more.
While we greatly value of our local customers explains Chris Wilkins, we need to develop new sales channels directly to the national chains to take our company to the next level.
Bless My Soul Foods will initially target the huge retail markets in the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas, hoping to build a strong following in those cities before expanding its sales campaign to the southwest. With a regional presence firmly established, there is every reason to expect that the Sweet Mama Janisse label would soon develop into a recognized national brand.
According to Chris Wilkins, our products have broad based appeal. Consumers want more spice in their lives and in their food and we’re here to give them the extra zest they’re looking for.
