Ingredients
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
1 1/2 cup pecan halves
1 9" unbaked pieshell

Directions
Preheat oven to 350
Using a wooden spoon, cream the butter with the sugar by hand.
Add the corn syrup and cream well.
In a separate bowl beat the eggs with a whisk until they are light and lemon colored.
Beat the eggs into the sugar mixture. Add vanilla, salt and pecans.
Pour into an unbaked 9" pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.To test for doneness insert knife in the center of the pie.
It should come out with a clear syrup coating.
Yield: 1 pie 6-8 serving
